Culture Club comes to Basildon.

Pioneering, intimate and truly innovative, Culture Club is an exciting programme of activity and events set to take Basildon by storm in the run up to Christmas 2018 and beyond.

A partnership project between Basildon Council and Things Made Public CIC, Culture Club aims to celebrate culture, creativity and of course, Christmas ensuring that the community are treated to truly immersive experiences never before seen in Basildon town.

Having said a big ‘Hello’ to Basildon on the 17th November, we’re excited to launch our full programme of events from the 30th November 2018 at our pop-up space Culture Club,  located in the former Mega Bet unit in East Square.

The line up is shaping up to be an ECLECTIC affair and will showcase a range of performances and activities including traditional Christmas choirs, live musical performances, community workshops, crafting opportunities, interactive street art, scratch theatre shows, not to mention good old-fashioned family fun.

Even better ALL of the activities will be FREE for visitors to enjoy.

About Made Public CIC…

Founded in 2012, Things Made Public is a Community Interest Company that work across Essex and East London. Made Public use arts and culture to regenerate communities, diversify the High Street offer and stimulate economic development.

Whether we are converting a disused, run down nightclub into a fully functioning business hub, installing bold, large-scale murals throughout a town or transforming vacant units into cultural festivals, we continuously deliver creative, dynamic work that strives to better not only the town in which we work, but also the lives of the people living in it.

Our approach is simple; be bold, be unique and always push the boundaries. Three unassuming statements that when used simultaneously lead to distinctive ideas and pioneering outcomes.
